Last reviewed: October 13, 2026Runs in your browser. Nothing you enter or open is uploaded.

Works with any Latin letters; numbers are styled too in some fonts.

    The short answer

Type your name or any text and the tool shows it in dozens of styles: bold, italic, cursive script, gothic, double-struck, bubbles, small caps, upside down and decorative frames. Tap Copy and paste it into your Instagram bio, TikTok name, Discord or a game. It is plain Unicode text, not an image, so it pastes almost anywhere.

    How it is calculated

These are not installed fonts. Each style swaps your letters for look-alike characters from Unicode, the character set every phone and computer reads. Bold, italic, script and gothic come from the "Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols" block; bubbles and squares come from enclosed letters.

A few letters (like script e and gothic H) live in other Unicode blocks, and the tool picks them from there so every letter shows up.

    Worked example

Hannah wants her Instagram name to stand out:

    1. She types "Hannah."
    2. She compares "ℋ𝒶𝓃𝓃𝒶𝒽", "𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐡", "★彡 𝓗𝓪𝓷𝓷𝓪𝓱 彡★".
    3. She taps Copy under her favorite and pastes it into the Name field in Edit profile.

    ★彡 𝓗𝓪𝓷𝓷𝓪𝓱 彡★

    Special cases and common mistakes

    • Fancy characters count toward limits. Frames add characters, and some apps and games cap name length, so each style shows its character count.
    • Some devices show boxes. If a symbol appears as an empty square, that device lacks the character. Pick a simpler style or test it in the app first.
    • Fancy text is harder to search. People searching "Hannah" may not find "𝓗𝓪𝓷𝓷𝓪𝓱". Keep your username plain and style only the display name.
    • Screen readers may read styled letters oddly or not at all, so avoid them in important text.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I get fancy fonts on Instagram?

Type your text here, tap Copy under a style, then open Edit profile in Instagram and paste it into your Name or Bio.

Why do some fancy letters show as boxes?

The device’s font lacks that character. The text is still correct and shows on devices that support it, but a simpler style is safer.

Do fancy fonts work in games and Discord?

Many accept Unicode names, but some block certain symbols or limit length. If one is rejected, try a simpler style like bold or small caps.

Is this text safe to use?

Yes. It is ordinary Unicode text created in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere.
